How to Earn Money in Dressmaker

The quick answer

Use existing fabric for commissions first. Once ready-to-wear selling is unlocked, turn useful leftover fabric into a simple dress, finish it, take its photo and sell it. Subtract new purchases when comparing profit.

Selling ready-to-wear dresses requires its unlock. No fastest, unlimited-money or guaranteed-profit method is established here.

Before selling is unlocked

Complete commissions with the fabric you already own and buy only what the card requires. Check the actual requirements before choosing expensive accessories.

Build 403 fixed a payment issue affecting accepted commissions. Older video claims that any missed condition necessarily means no payment should not be applied unchanged.

Once you can sell ready-to-wear dresses

  1. Open a ready-to-wear design in the sketchbook.
  2. Use suitable leftover or mistakenly purchased fabric for a simple dress. A documented player route uses free Burlap to keep new material purchases low.
  3. Draft, fit, cut, assemble and sew the dress.
  4. Choose Finish Dress, take the photo and Sell.
  5. Check the sale panel, inventory and coin change.

Keep useful fabric gaps and recover a wrongly cut piece when possible. Discarding scraps is not a refund.

Revenue is not profit

Subtract additional purchasing costs from the sale proceeds. Fabric already in inventory also had a historical cost. The sale panel separates Materials, Labour, Quality and Prestige, but that does not make every component’s rate publicly known.

A reported brooch-heavy example changes materials, labour and quality at once. Do not turn its high sale value into a universal profit promise. The useful route is to minimise unnecessary new spending and verify your own final sale.

If the selling option is missing, use the ready-to-wear unlock guide before buying fabric for this method.
