Dressmaker: Why Finish Dress Is Missing

Check missing pieces first

Look in inventory and on the cutting table for an unplaced piece. A dress can look complete while still missing part of its pattern. Build 410 adds an inventory hover aid that shows the corresponding place on the mannequin.

Return to Patterns

The Accessories tab hides pending seam icons. Switch to Patterns, inspect the seams and complete every one.

Press R to restart the current sewing piece. For a completed piece that needs resewing, use the Seam Ripper on the mannequin, remove it and sew it again.

Finish, then photograph

When all required pieces are placed and sewn, look for Finish Dress. Take the photo before choosing the available delivery action or an unlocked Sell / Gift option.

If the first tutorial cannot advance

Build 410 fixes a tutorial softlock involving opening the sketchbook before ringing the bell. Confirm your update and follow the current tutorial prompt.

A player guide suggests cutting a small amount of spare fabric, but labels the cause as a guess. That discards material and is not the first step or a guaranteed fix.

If all pieces and seams are complete and the button is still missing, keep the build, commission name, Patterns and inventory screens, and the actions that preceded it. Investigate that specific state rather than immediately resetting the save.
