Dressmaker Lace Trim: Find the Right Accessory

The quick answer

If a commission asks for Lace Trim, choose an accessory carrying the Lace Trim tag. A fabric with “lace” in its name and a lace-fabric percentage requirement are different conditions.

Steam release. Build 403 corrected some trim tags, but not every reported lace issue is resolved.

Read which lace condition you need

A Lace Trim requirement concerns an accessory. A requirement for a percentage of lace fabric concerns the dress’s fabric composition. A fabric name containing “lace” does not make it interchangeable with a tagged trim.

Open Accessories and filter for Lace Trim when the card asks for edging.

Place and check the trim

Place the red pins close together along the garment edge to reduce floating straight sections. The end pin can adjust how far the trim sits into the fabric. After placing it, check the relevant commission condition before finishing the dress.

For a fabric-percentage requirement, assemble the pieces and inspect the resulting statistics. Adding more trim is not a substitute for changing the fabric composition.

If it does not count

Build 403 fixed some incorrectly tagged trims. That does not establish that every lace item meets every card: later reports include both failures and successes after choosing the correct accessory tag.

If a correctly tagged item still fails, keep the product name, commission card, build and before/after placement screens. No universal trim-length rule or complete product-tag table is established here.
